In the last decade, Mercatus's student and academic programs have grown substantially. This academic year, we are supporting 171 students, both at George Mason University through our PhD, MA, and Joseph Schumpeter Fellowships and worldwide through our Adam Smith and Frédéric Bastiat Fellowships. And three years ago, we launched the F. A. Hayek Program for Advanced Study in Philosophy, Politics and Economics under the leadership of Drs. Peter Boettke and Christopher Coyne.
These programs—training students and supporting faculty research—have been mutually supporting in their growth. In order to continue this beneficial collaboration, Mercatus has merged our Graduate Student Programs and the F. A. Hayek Program for Advanced Study in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics together under the single banner of Academic & Student Programs, primarily located at Mason Hall on the George Mason University main campus in Fairfax, Virginia.
The Academic & Student Programs scholars and staff are excited to work more closely with one another as we further develop and grow our programs.
